ROUTE

| This is a very basic depiction of our planned route - showing only countries we intend to visit and in what order. This does not show exact travelling routes - think that'll be worked out as we go and depending on how good our navigation skills prove to be - diversions are fully expected ;-)

| Our planned route is basically as follows - UK - France - Germany - Austria - Slovenia - Croatia - Bosnia - Yugoslavia - Macedonia - Greece - Turkey - Iran - Pakistan - India - flying to Thailand - ( Cambodia, Laois, Vietnam if possible ) - Malaysia - Singapore - ship the bikes New Zealand - fly ourselves to Sydney for Christmas 2002 - meet bikes in New Zealand in the New Year - Australia ( with bikes ) - UK by air to finish May 2003.
Just in case you should have any interest whatsover in why this route - mainly skip Europe - expensive, been there, done that. Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia ?? Cliff did an aid run in his truck when things were really bad there ( and that is a whole other story ) so he would like to see how it is now. The rest of it is pretty self explanatory. We plan to be in Australia for our birthdays in January ( without the bikes ) as my sister lives in Sydney and having visited once looking forward to getting back - oh and there is another good reason -

| Never quite understood why Victoria Bitter was the symbol of Aussie drinking habits - and personally prefer good old real ale but, hey it's so hot out there - who wants warm beer ??? |

Next it'll be fly back to NZ cos we've heard so much about it and apparently it is ideal biking country. Also, where I work has close ties to NZ so I know a few peeps out there - free B&B !
